Player Name: Sevillalost
Character Number:um... 6?

Character Name and Pronunciation: Anjelie (ANJ el eee)
Gender: Female
Character Rank: Bluerider
Character Age/Date of birth:
Family: Uncle, Lord Someone of Somewhere Important.  Many others, none significant
Current location: White Lightning Weyr
Physical description: Anjelie is long and lean, with finely chiseled facial features that fairly shout her origin as a scion of the Somewhere Important Bloodline.  She keeps her dark hair cut short in blunt lines, and it has a habit of being frustratingly perfect, even after she's been wearing a helmet.  She usually dresses in riding leathers, as she prefers to be working and busy with something productive.  Her favorite color is blue... naturally.  She does have an expensive gather gown.  More than one, truth be told, but they rarely if ever see the light of day.  She keeps them because they were gifts (and probably some wishful thinking) from her mother, sister to the Lord of Somewhere Important.
Her eyes are blue and clear, and she could be beautiful if she wasn't always so severe.  She doesn't have much in the way of curves, but this has never bothered her much.  Especially not after Impressing Spalkoth.

Personality: Anjelie is one of those women whom other women describe as "really a nice person, once you get to know her."  The problem, of course, lies in the fact that getting to know Anjelie is incredibly difficult.  Upon first impression, she comes off as someone with a ridiculously high regard for structure, rules, and regulations.  She has a tendency to be a bit pedantic, and has often been described as having a stick shoved up her... well.  You get the idea.
The truth, however, isn't that simple.  Yes, Anjelie often takes refuge in structure, because it's something that is easy to understand and predict, unlike the ebbs and flows of standard human interactions.  Despite being Holdbred and trained as a possible future Lady, Anjelie does not enjoy social situations.  This is, in large part, because she finds most people impossible to understand.  No one ever seems to SAY what they're thinking, and this irritates the bluerider to no end.
In addition, Anjelie is passionately devoted to the ideas of tradition and propriety.  Again, this mostly stems from her dislike of fluid situations.  However, this devotion drives her to be incredibly responsible, and she is conscientious about fulfilling all of her duties to the absolute best of her abilities.
Also, should one be fortunate enough to earn her loyalty, that loyalty is for life.  This is, perhaps, her best quality, though it has gotten her into trouble more than a few times in her life.  Especially when that loyalty conflicts with the rules.  So far, loyalty has won out, but she doesn't like it. Not one bit.
She's not a born leader, though she has the potential to lead, if she could ever build the confidence to act according to her instincts, rather than just blindly following "the rules".

Theme song: (Optional - if there was a musical score for your character, what song would exemplify it?)
History: Anjelie was born into the extended family of the Lord of Somewhere Important.  As such, she grew up in a fairly privileged role, having been schooled and fostered with her cousins, and trained from an early age to marry for politics and alliances.  She was neither happy nor unhappy about that fate, it simply was, and she accepted it the way she accepted her own name.

That all changed, however, when she was offered Search by an Eastern Weyr searchrider.  Eastern had a queen egg on the sands at the time, and so she was happy to go and Stand.  She didn't Impress during that first Hatching, but for the first time in her life, Anjelie found herself passionately wanting something.  The looks of overwhelming joy and sublime radiance that took over the faces of the newly Impressed ignited a fire of desire deep within her, and she surprised everyone by electing to remain at the Weyr and attempting to stand again.

She Impressed shortly before she would have aged out, at one of the clutches that also featured "mutant" dragons.  While she was overjoyed to join her life to that of the amazing blue Spalkoth, deep in her heart of hearts, she couldn't resent the newcomers to the dragon world.  To her, they seemed to be hatchlings like any other.  Damaged, perhaps.  Handicapped by their mutations, maybe, but that was scarcely their fault.  Consequently, while she gladly took on the mantle of a more traditionally-minded rider, she did not carry any of the vitriol toward the mutants that characterized some of her associates.

When the dragons started dying, Anjelie did her best to keep a stiff upper lip and drive on, for that was the only way she knew to deal with the loss.  She buried herself in work, doing all that she could to try and keep normal operations going for as long as she could.  When that became no longer possible, she followed bronzerider Jah'vi to White Lightning Weyr because... well... what else was she going to do?

So far, her impression of this new Weyr is uncertain.  She doesn't fully approve of dragonriders associating with criminal types, but she does recognize that Br'son and his people weren't given much other choice in the matter.  And now... well... what difference does it make, at this point?

Name: Spalkoth
Color: Blue
Speech Hex Code: 0062ff, 00e9ff
Impression date: P10.44.4.10
Wing: (this will be assigned for you upon approval)
Physical description: Spalkoth is a solidly mid-sized blue dragon.  His hide is a deep ocean blue with lighter areas on his wing bones and neck ridges.  He has a tracery of scars across his left flank from a particularly bad flaming accident as a weyrling.
Personality: Spalkoth is as laid-back as they come.  Unlike his rider, though, he's not an outsider because of any awkwardness or lack of social skill on his part.  He tends to be the outsider simply because it's more entertaining for him to observe social interactions rather than get involved in them.  He finds his rider's awkwardness and frustration alternately endearing and exasperating, and he's often coached her to "let things go" when they're particularly bothering her.

When it comes to flying, Spalkoth has only one concern: are you competent?  For that reason, he doesn't have anything against the new colors of dragons, as long as the individual dragon is capable of pulling their weight.  He rather respects the cobalts for their drive and competitive nature, though he has no desire to ever come up against one in a battle of wills.  Spalkoth is happy with being a blue, and has no delusions of grandeur about competing with any of the larger colors, whatever their origin.
